Finance Officer (part-time)
CLPE seeks to appoint a part-time
Finance Officer to perform a key role in
the effective financial management,
practices and systems for this education
centre which is an independent charity
in central London.
The person appointed will need to
demonstrate substantial experience in
financial posts and expertise in
financial management and IT, including
experience in using Quickbooks
accounting software. Candidates should
be at least part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or
CIPFA and have a relevant degree or
equivalent qualification.
Responsibilities and duties include:
assisting with preparation of tenders
and service level agreements; preparing
annual accounts for Audit; providing
regular management information and
financial reports; developing and
streamlining business systems and
practices; developing IT strategies to
support CLPE’s business unit; recording
and reporting VAT; monitoring budgets,
Quickbooks and service delivery;
ensuring compliance with Charity
Commission regulation.
Good written and oral skills in English
are required in addition to financial,
management, IT and interpersonal skills.
It would be an advantage to have
experience in the education and third
sectors.
This post is available from 1 March
2010, initially as a one-year contract.
Salary: £20,907 per annum inclusive for
22 hours per week. (£34,212 FTE per
annum)
