Project background
This assessment project came about because of a request from CfBT EAZ schools in Lambeth for a way of assessing children’s learning in creative arts projects. Schools wanted to be able to provide convincing evidence of the impact of the creative arts on children’s learning and attainment.
Information from the assessment would be used in completing the SEF (School Self Evaluation Framework).
The EAZ and CLPE put forward a bid to the CfBT to develop and pilot such an assessment. They had previously worked together for three years (with Creative Partnerships London South) on the documentation of children’s learning in creative arts projects.
